About Me

Hello, I’m Kim. Welcome to my Counselling page. I am a fully qualified, registered and accredited counsellor and coach with considerable experience in relationship issues, anxiety and stress, low confidence and self esteem, depression and feeling low, loss and bereavement, anger management, trauma and self-development. I offer an initial free telephone conversation to answer any questions or concerns you may have, to identify the problem and to discover your goal of counselling, which helps me to plan in advance for your first session.

My approach is welcoming, relaxed and respectful and I help adults (over 18 years of age) to manage their anxieties and overcome their problems using my extensive training and experience in counselling and coaching, with as few or as many sessions as you desire, often with ‘homework/reading’ to reinforce, and maximise the benefit of, the work done in the session.

I work actively together with my clients to engage in a process to gain the insight necessary to bring about change. The knowledge, self awareness and coping strategies learned in therapy are a foundational step toward improving your relationships with others, reducing anxiety and attending to other issues that are keeping you from engaging in life with a sense of well being.

I have a safe, supportive, and confidential counselling room with free parking in Welwyn Garden City.

I offer Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling utilising the most relevant approach to achieve the best outcome for you, such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, REBT, Psychosynthesis, Behavioural, Mindfulness and Coaching.

I am a registered and accredited member of the National Counselling Society and a registered member of the BACP and I follow their code of ethics for good practice.

I have also worked as a Counsellor at both St Albans Bereavement Matters and at Harmony Mediation offices as well as in private practice. I hold Professional Indemnity Insurance. I also attend regular Supervision and Continuing Professional Development.
